Yep, there is a waterfall there <http://www.interisland.net/watershed/mike/E%20WA/May21/Palouse_05-10_0078.jpg>Yes the evidence of the floods is fascinating. FWIW The Palouse River is an 'underfit' stream since it is way too small for the size of the canyon. Its course was diverted by the floods into this channel. It originally flowed down Wastucna Coulee.
