Thank you. This was actually taken the night before full moon. As the
elevation angle is so high to the top of the mountain, the only way to
get this shot is to shoot it the night before, otherwise the mountain
is too dark. In reality, It's almost impossible to do this even with
severe HDR. The moon is actually quite high in the sky in this
picture, as those peaks are almost 4000' high and my shooting position
is about three miles away at sea level. The unmanipulated photo is
just as you would expect--just a while blob in the sky over a couple
of rocks.
