Bokeh is improved--tad less brightness and contrast.

I'm interested in FL choice for C-Ups as a matter of choice of perspective. These flowers, and their relationship to the
background, would look quite different, shot at say 200mm.
I think the first exposure to UWA use in macro in
my world was an old post by John Lind using an OMZ 21F2 with short extension
tube aimed inside a tulip--worked rather well, IIRC.
As I recall, that lens had quite a bit of field curvature focused close. Depending on direction of curvature and shape
of subject, that can be used to advantage.
