I enjoyed your little dissertation. 

Nonetheless,  string theory is annoying.  It sucked all the oxygen  ($$)  out 
of the room and hasn't led to one testable hypothesis yet despite year after 
year of work.  One should call it philosophy if not testable. 
As it allows for photography though, I will reserve judgement.
