I have an old 3G phone that was thrown at me by a drug-crazed homeless
person years ago. It's totally useless as a phone, but I can run apps on it
for navigation, such as GPSTest and OruxMaps. The GPSTest app has suddenly
stopped working, and after much effort I've learned that the phone itself will
not let me use it unless I update Google Play Station.
Sounds like Google is openly committing extortion.
