Ken, I meant no disrespect for your gear collection, and I understand
priorities when it comes to spending choices. We've all been there.
The images you post are well composed and polished to a level I can only
envy. I can only imagine the quality of your commercial work.
The main reason I am not inclined to spring for more modern gear is that
is that I don't feel I am limited by the gear that I have. I still have
a lot to learn about the capabilities of the gear that I have in hand.
It is all much more capable than what I started out with in the 1950s.

My philosophy is sort of like Ken's, staying behind the cutting edge in
new gear, frequently buying used.
Much of that has been a matter of purchasing power. I'd like to say
that it's because I'm the wisest cat in the local photography club,
but the truth is that I make the sacrifices on latest/greatest because
I have to choose between gas and GAS.
I'm very likely to get an E-M1 Mk2 or Mk3 though. With that I can shed
off a few items to consolidate the kit more. One camera replaces
three. That kind of thing.
