Seeing your post reminded me of something, Moose. I live in Wichita, KS, home
of the sedgwick County Zoo, which is highly rated. Among other things they have
an exhaustive reptile collection, including a King Cobra. His name? Moose!
Perhaps a distant relative?

Never heard of WWOOF. I suppose that may have been involved n the Oregon
organic farm sojourns of the son and then
girlfriend of some Maine friends. Said friends now won an old farm with enough
land that the son, daughter-in-law and
children can raise crops, chickens, goats and pigs right at home.
Nice place to visit, right on a kayakable river; wouldn't want to live there. 😁
