Perhaps I'm wrong but I think Moose was referring to RF viewfinder
vs SLR viewfinder preference? I do get how the viewfinder can
affect one's shooting. It certainly did for me, but not in the
way you are describing.
RF seemed to be cumbersome for macro and moderate telephoto.
Howerver, I really did like the XPan RF. With 3 lenses it covered
a lot of territory, and introduced me to vertical pano shooting.
The Contax G2 I also liked quite a bit. Autofocus was slow but
useable. Both these systems had excellent lenses. The glass
for these cameras rendered in a way much of the Oly glass
did not, especially the Contax G2 lenses. Still most of my film
photography went to the OM-4t and mostly for the versatility,
ease of setting the exposure, and range of lenses available.
Now we have EVF and BOC (back of camera) viewfinders.
I do have some issues with EVF viewfinders also affecting my
shooting. I often find myself relooking at the scene with my
eyes to verify what I was seeing to photograph. I have not made
your particular correlation as most of my images all look better
large. I am curious to look through the A1 OLED finder. With
0.9X (or select less for 35mm eyepoint) magnification.
The OM viewfinder gave me a good idea what the result would be.
