I used double-exposure techniques to accomplish this on the same
frame. I've got a few successful photos with this technique, but a
whole lot of tossers.

I was playing around with this quite a bit about 10 years ago. In
fact, 2008 was probably my peak year with it. Unfortunately, I had a
hard-drive failure and defective CDRs, so I lost almost 18 months of
photographs. I haven't played around with this effect since. Although,
I probably should. Everything I'm doing these days is polar opposite
and hyper contrast.
