I have a similar dilemma with a 26yr old Chevy S10 P/U which has only
73,000 actual miles on it. A lady up the street sees it sitting, little
used, and wants to buy it for her teenage son. But this truck was
originally bought to pull a boat on a trailer, it was built before
airbags, and has a 4.3 liter V6. Lots of torque for a heavy-footed,
easily distracted youngster. I just put a new battery in it after 7
years, and will keep it to haul recycling items to the collection
center, if it ever opens again.

I parted with my Cox when she was 17, still in its original condition(apart from a body paint
I had daubed myself … I turned down an offer from a student of mine I liked, for his
own safety - and had it dumped for the price of the car stereo on the the Audi I was then
buying … But had I then have garage room to stock it, I should have kept this Cox :-)

Philippe, thanks for the enlightenment. I was not aware of these beautiful
conversions. There is a Beetle that passes my house frequently that appears to
be pretty much original.
My only experience with the Beetle was the one occasion that I helped my son
overhaul the engine for a college classmate of his. She drove it to California
for her first job, so I guess my work held up.

Where I live, cox has been a bit slow at times, but not for long. No

Cox wifi has been having some serious problems of late. With
everyone staying at home and watching online videos, the speed for doing
anything rudimentary is making dialup look good. Disconnects are chronic,
and there are periods where Cox can't even access their lookup server. I
often end up disconnecting from the wifi and then reconnecting so as to
hopefully get a better socket.
Pretty ridiculous, but that's the nature of the world at the moment.
