Sorry, I mis-remembered that. I recalled you mentioned a couple powerful software packages. I probably looked at some of the tutorials.
No problem at all.
PS was adequate for some basics, except for that weird lack of support
for the audio codec the Panny camera used as default.
One thing about PS, there seems to be canned actions for about anything. I was fussing
with simulating writing in sand for the "StrandMoose" movie and found an action
for a couple bucks that saved me 45min at least.

I'd listen to C.H. for video.
I have a Panasonic FZ1000, it takes great video. I always use AVCHD
1080p 50/60, the file container is m2ts with video format H.264 and
audio AC3. AVCHD is a very popular video format, PS does not support AC3
is try to force you to buy Premier.
My experience with video editing software is rather limited since it
would take tens of hours to try out one software and weeks if not months
to use a software efficiently. So I just stick with what I have been
using since many years ago.
On the other hand video conversion software is much easier. I'm using
some free video conversion software to convert the TV files I recorded.
I do it daily and have converted thousands of TV programs since over 10
years ago.
If anyone has question about video conversion/editing just let me know.
