OK, I'm going to natter for a while. If you just would like to look at some nice pictures, look here. <https://photos.app.goo.gl/xjdsgFgZdbrZk9yL6>

Lots of noise the last few months about Full Frame mirrorless cameras. To listen to the web, it would seem everyone and their siblings are moving that way.

I wonder how much is actual interest, and how much just talking about what's hot. I wonder how those beasties are actually selling.

OTOH, there's the NatGeo photog who says he only uses recent 1" sensor Sony
RX100 models.

And, of course, AGAK waxing eloquent about the fair GX85 vs. his old D60 II,
with nary a mention of the smaller sensor.

I do love the results from my 2-3 camera 'serious' set-up. But, there are situations where that's all a bit much. So on our seven week Fall trip to New England and Ireland, a carried along a couple of compact cameras. The Panny ZS80 was to give me reach, with 720 mm eq. The 1" sensor ZS200 for all round shooting, with it's range of 24-360 mm eq.

I "did" Dublin with an odd combo of ZS200 and a GX9 with 7-14 and 8 mm fisheye.

The ZS80 did get some good shots, but it's not an unqualified success.

But the ZS200 did very well. I can certainly see the NatGeo guy's point. He's shooting for their magazine and web sites. The 1' sensor is certainly up to that. The advent of Topaz Denoise AI effectively neutralizes the noise from the smaller sensor at higher ISOs.

Probably too many samples, but sure a wide range of subjects light, etc. Pace yourself. :-) <https://photos.app.goo.gl/xjdsgFgZdbrZk9yL6>

Some significant crops, including some amazing stained glass work.
