The BBC is going downhill: that should have been written, “little food or
shelter”. As it is it could mean that he had only a little food, but some
shelter.
I regret to opine that the BBC’s performance has been deterioriating for about
two years. Brexit must have split the Corporation, but also the Conservatives
have been hammering at its organisation in attempts of varying degrees of
success to reduce its independence.
It has lost a lot of readership in the UK, listeners to the radio and viewers
of its TV. I rarely listen to the news, let alone the talk programmes, once
its strength and independence.
Sad times . . .
