Chris links:: https://digitaldmx.files.wordpress.com/2011/11/grammar-police.jpg I am trying to hold the line preventing some egregious errors. It is one thing to error in a quick email where meaning is clear but in a formal presentation or medical note using eponyms, proper usage is important. Most endocrinology fellows often error in writing Graves' disease. It is named after the renown Irish physician Robert James Graves: 1796-1853. I have seen it written Grave's disease or slightly less offensive Graves disease. Every endocrinology fellows I am involved in training will make that mistake but once. :-) Doing my part, Mike, S.A.U. -- _________________________________________________________________ Options: http://lists.thomasclausen.net/mailman/listinfo/olympus Archives: http://lists.thomasclausen.net/mailman/private/olympus/ Themed Olympus Photo Exhibition: http://www.tope.nl/ |
