Quite some time ago I voiced my suspicion that the K&F Concept adapter
wasn't permitting focus to infinity. So I ordered a different kind from
(where else?) China and it arrived yesterday.
It is a FOTGA, and yes it does do infinity focus.
To put numbers on them I measured the flange-flange distance with
vernier calipers, and it seems that the FOTGA is 1/10 = 0.1 mm thinner.
So bear that in mind if you ever contemplate adjusting thickness using
abrasives of any kind.
Absolute distances - FOTGA 27.8 mm
K&F Concept 27.9mm
All done as well as possible with my variable cataracts getting in the
way. Reading the vernier is not easy at that level of detail.
I like the extra pixels over what the OM D M5 with 12-50mm lens which I
bought from Chuck Norcutt provides, BUT I definitely do miss the In Body
Image Stabilisation from Olympus.
Cheers, Brian Swale (Enjoying Spring arriving here - I've had enough
of freezing fog for this year)
