That must have been something to behold. My grandfather had a 54 or 55
Olds. We got T-boned in it when I was 3. The guy must have been braking
hard when he hit us. I hit the right side of the padded interior and was
pretty ruffled by it but not injured. Grandpa had a pair of his and hers
Olds for a while, one red and one orange. He downsized in the late 50s to
a Rambler, which I thought, even at 4 or 5, was a mighty fall from grace.
