Moose, you are too kind, even for an enabler. I am learning some of the
secrets of the new toy, and it definitely has possibilities, if I can
tame it to my game.
As to the portrait, the new Texture slider in Lightroom is a real gift
to old folks, and Photoshop cleanup polishes up my scalp much better
than my grandson can do with the sun damage due to years of receding
hairline. I normally hide it all with a baseball cap.

The big guys are gone for the day, but I did find this tiny Skipper
sippin' on the Buddleia blooms. This camera/lens combo definitely
has possibilities. It's kind of like shooting landings in a new
airplane. Keep at it till you get it right.

The gear has definitely allowed you to up your game! The first
butterfly showed some of the old over processing, but that seems much
improved.
Outstanding, even at web size, is the clean look of the still life and
the still moving life - you. ;-) You don't look a day over 80. With
more hair, closer to 70.
