Been years since I did any hiking in CO so can't comment. However there
are forums for hiking in CO where you might get good suggestions and
detailed descriptions.
...and ride the Silverton Train. It's a spectacular scenic ride through the
Animas gorge
behind a narrow gauge steam locomotive.
Will be hard to fit in time. Here's what you're missing :)
