As I type this, I'm sitting in a cabin high up on the hillside over
the Homer Spit. I've got the 6D with OM Zuiko locked down on some
Manfrotto monstrosity (video head equipped) doing a couple hours of
time-lapse.

This is certainly not a tripod I'm going to carry any farther than
from the vehicle to the building, but for what it does, there are few
substitutes.
