Furthermore, the idea that you “own” the software you buy has never been
accurate. Even in the pre-internet days you only licensed the software, you did
not actually “own” it. The only thing you owned was the medium on which the
software was delivered.
Having said that, I am glad that I have stayed off the CC altogether. I use the
last stand-alone version of Lightroom, and I intend to keep it that way.
