I have a custom desk I made with a custom 5 foot x 3 foot keyboard tray. I
cannot live without it. It also allows for my shoulders to be much more
relaxed. Afterall, nerves have to travel that way, and tight shoulders can add
to the problem.
I have some carpel tunnel in the right wrist, which can become numb when bike
riding. I think the mouse is the main cause versus the keyboard.
I am partial to my Logitech illuminated keyboard. When I used to live in the
office, keyboard sound was a real problem for me, and it didn't matter so much
the keyboard, but the way the person types. Some can really pound on the
keyboard. However, there was one guy, when he typed, it was very soothing, like
music. My own typing on a loud keyboard is irritating.
Laptop keyboard sounds on conference calls are very annoying. Especially with
heavy handed typists. And laptops being on the same surface as the phone.
