I lived in Calcutta when I was 17-18 and managed to watch an England-India
cricket match during the school holidays; it was very enjoyable until it
started to look as if England would win, when the mood in the crowd became a
little hostile.
Luckily England gave away a few runs (or something) and all geniality was
restored.
