This is truly the case of “to each his own”—I dislike image stabilization and
tend to turn it off I am using a camera that has it. I think it gives images a
bit of a plasticky feel. I cannot explain it in words, but it just goes to show
that a feature that is important to one person is totally irrelevant to
another. I also dislike touch screens and joysticks, which is one of the
reasons I like my Fuji cameras (and my Leica M8 and the equally ancient
Panasonic GF1).
