I think you’ll find that your silver-nosed friends (if you still have any) will
be happier with the m43.
I spent some time with a Sony FF friend, and he had a devil of a time trying to
use my OM lenses that I loaned him. His IBIS sucked, and the camera made him go
through multiple menu picks to change lenses, whereas my E-M1.2 only required
one.
Plus, going FF means you can’t use focal reducers, which can be just fantastic.
I’m having such a gas with “legacy lenses” that I just got a 350/2.8
(replacement for one I sold long ago). With a Metabones, it’s a 250/2. With a
1.4X-A, it’s a 500/4. All of them are sharp.
But really, if all you want is a one-trick-pony travel cam, why bother with
interchangeable lenses at all? There are some really nice superzoom
point-n-shoot cams out there.
