Erice is a town perched on a 750m (2460 ft) mountain above the sea. It's
often in a cloud, hence the local saying that "Erice wears a hat." Here,
in the lowest part of the town, the "hat" is just above us.

This is my favorite photo from Erice. The moisture from the clouds
nourishes green borders around the old stones arranged geometrically in
this street behind the town's mother church.
