[OM] lens character

We all talk about lens character and "magic". Not knowing all the tradeoffs 
that go into lens design I found this article interesting. Particularly the 
implication that getting faster autofocus changes the type of optics used and 
the "character" of the lens. Probably why many manual focus lenses have 
character.

However I don't know if there is a "magic" chart comparable to an MTF graph.
