Two weeks ago I came across a 1982 Raleigh Olympian in a Goodwill store.
It was senior day, so I walked out with it for just $11.25. It had been well
taken care of, but then neglected for a very long time and needed a good deal
of TLC. I've been slowly stripping it down one bearing at a time, replacing
non-OEM parts, and putting it back in running order. It still needs handlebar
tape, but that can wait. It is the lightest running bike I have with 27x1 1/4"
tyres. It feels good to take an old bike such as this and bring it back to
life.
