Thanks for the kind words, Moose. Memphis' barbecue is well known, and
respected, but the best I have had was in a small town in Texas. My
wife and I were en route to Fort Worth, and stopped in a small town for
lunch. They served up the best barbecue beef I have ever found. But,
one had to be careful with the sauces. Some of them would blow you away!

I continue to use my iPhone to grab shots showing the charisma of the

Looks a lot more interesting than Applebee's. I've had some great BBQ
in Memphis and Chattanooga. Still got a cap from a place called Bones
that was excellent - long ago.
It is under new ownership, but hasn't changed much. The cakes and
pies will make one enjoy adding calories. They have to limit the
number of carryout meal orders at Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Beneath the crown molding is a row of antique Tennessee license
plates. The tables are covered with red and white oil cloth like my
Mother used during the 30s, 40s, and 50s, and the window curtains
continue the pattern. Along with antique advertising thermometers,
the walls are covered with prints of pencil drawings by local artist
Don Northcutt, all framed and ready to sell.
Philippe, I worked on the white balance, but the light was hard to
deal with.

WB looks pretty good to me. I took a look at the Applebee's image; I
could make it different, but not good. :-) Too many overlapping
different light sources.
