Yes, that is a good story.
Another earthquake story from years ago came from a British radio amateur
who was on a business trip to Wellington, New Zealand, when their shallow quake
hit. He was in the fourth floor of a downtown office building when it struck.
His building remained upright, but the one across the street partially
collapsed and leaned over, coming to a rest against the building he was in.
Luckily, everyone got out of both buildings with just a few injuries. That was
a very close call.
