I updated the image with several adjustments. I've been running the
images a touch cool because of the way my eyes have been interpreting
colors in the Lightroom display. Changing the screen preferences
helped me a bit. Using the dark settings is causing my eyes to not
like the perceived warming. However, I do like this image to be a
little cooler than Moose's interpretation.
I ran the image through Color Efex Pro and used that to neutralize the
color a bit and also add some structure. I have the feeling that the
final print will end up being somewhere between the two as the sky
needs to stay a little more "quiet" as it redirects the eye-flow a bit
too much.
So, what qualities of the E-1 made me reach for it? Easy answer - it's
my lightest digital camera. I also needed to give it some love.
