Jim, Had to smile at that photo. Probably 20 yrs ago our children had a cat
"tigger" Same colouration and mad as a box of frogs. Daughter no.1 came into our bedroom early one
morning to say that she could smell smoke. We were well asleep.Went downstairs to find that the cat had tried to catch
fish in our large tank. She had succeeded in levering up the hood, and hooked out the heater. This had rolled along the
unit and landed on the floor next to a pile of schoolwork waiting to be marked. The impact did not break the heating
element, which switched on, burnt through the fitted carpet, and then burnt most of the way through the chipboard
flooring. The ground floor was full of acrid smoke.
To add insult to injury she then threw up all over the floor, probably overcome by the
smoke!!!It was a real "wake up call" ...pun intended.Later that day fire alarms
were fitted all through the house, it was really a close call.A Very interesting
conversation took place with our insurance company.
