I have been using the free version of Revo for about 5 years and I

are quite significant as I often do searches for genealogy in the Dark

YMMV,

It sounds familiar to me too, and may well have been a Chuck
recommendation. But not only Chuck, as it was the first of
TechRepublic's top five uninstallers in 2012:

John,
I knew it sounded familiar, and it is still on my Windows 7 Dell
desktop. I think our late friend Chuck may have been the one who
recommended it, but can't recall for sure. Shortly after I bought the
machine, it was infected due to my being naive and trying to bring the
new machine up to speed with some software I had used in the past. It
took a lot of effort to clean it up.
That's about all I can say. As I recall, it worked ok for me.

Recently I was pointed to "REVO UNINSTALLER PRO" at VSRevoGroup.com or
RevoUninstallerPro.com as a supplement to CCleaner Pro.
The latter has a visible identity at Who.is whereas Revo is completely masked
out.
Is anyone familiar with Revo and knows where it comes from and can comment upon
its pros and cons ?
