I spent a few days in Kraków at the beginning of this month. This is Poland’s
most visited city, with many historical monuments, as it was the country’s
original capital until the late 1500s. The old town is a UNESCO world heritage
site, and there is also a neighbourhood, Kazimierz, which contains a lot of
Jewish history—and some present Jewish life as well. Seventy-eight images of
