I've been enjoying your series of bee portraits. "Conflict" is my fav, so far.

Thanks, Chris. My Pentax 55/1.8 gives me the same reach as the normal zoom, and is a lot lighter and less bulky.
But, after copying Moose, I do screw on an Oly 40cm close-up lens.
I'm happy you've been having so much fun, and getting results that please you,
with the achromatic C-U lens.

Thanks for the kind words, Ken.
I was kind of frustrated today. When I approached the Buddleia, I saw a humming bird trying to get nourishment from
these small blooms, and I was set up for closeups. Before I could reconfigure, he gave up and left, for good. But,
the bees were everywhere.
That's a reason I use magnetic filter adapters for my C-U lenses. I can pop one on or take it off in a second. NO
fumbling with screw threads.
They seem expensive. For me that lasted 'til I first used them in the field, since which they have seemed like a
bargain. :-) <https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/search?Ntt=xume%2049mm&N=0&InitialSearch=yes&sts=ma&Top+Nav-Search=>
