Don't laugh. I'm second generation European, and I very rarely ever get
ill, though I did have a short bout of something back in February. Never had a
flu shot and never will (I have a long story about that). Most people I know
here get ill on a regular basis, and their flu shots may be a factor.
We use chlorine (and chlordane) to disinfect municipal water, and there is
some discussion that the residue may be a possible vector in cancer. I
evaporate the residue from my drinking water by keeping two open containers in
the fridge for at lease 12 hours.
