I was back in Sofia this week, just for a couple of days. I arrived at my hotel
around 7 p.m. Monday, spent most of Tuesday at a conference that was the
purpose of my trip, and flew back to Alicante on a flight that departed at 5:30
am on Wednesday. But with the long days at this time of year, and the very nice
weather in Bulgaria (as opposed to the biting cold when I was there in
February), there were still decent photo opportunities. A gallery of 51 images
of the city and its people is here:

Bulgaria is not likely to be at the top of most people’s bucket lists, but it
is actually a very interesting country, a mix of Eastern Europe and the
Mediterranean. And from a visitor’s point of view, it has one more advantage:
eating and drinking out is dirt cheap.
As always, comments and critique are welcome and appreciated.
