Black Throated Sparrow. A new one to me. As seems to be usual for me, Merlin Photo ID had no idea, but Peterson and
Audubon agreed.
Technically seen in Red Rock Canyon SP, but the birds don't care about our boundaries, so it was probably next door at

(We were where the bullfrog on lily pad pic was taken Friday, but didn't see any frogs. this botanic garden is in hills
where the creeks dry up in summer, so they pump water from the lower pond to the top of the natural creek bed to keep it
running through summer. But it was broken Friday; big hole with unconnected piped by the arbor. That shot was taken in a
very unseasonable mid-May rain.)
