A Puerto Rico Air Natinal Guard C-130 crashed shortly after takeoff from
Savannah, Georgia today. I just watched video footage of the crash. The
aircraft was in a typical climb attitude when the left wing dropped sharply.
The aircraft then nosed over and went into a left-hand (counterclockwise) spin.
This looks like a stall, but it could also be an outboard engine or prop
failure.
The aircraft was on it's way to Davis-Monthan AFB (aka David Mothballs)
for retirement.
