You two have convinced me. I will try it your way next time.
By the way, the other change that I like is their moving Dehaze higher
in the panel, so I don't have to go all the way to the bottom. That
seems much more efficient to me.

top-down, which means selecting the profile first, but sometimes it is
iterative. I'm finding that certain combinations of profiles and
settings work better than others for certain images. While I can just
apply a canned solution and get 90% of the way there, sometimes just
by changing the profile yields entirely different possibilities.
