Yes, you got used ones cheaper than new, but new are available. Manfrotto is exceptional for maintaining full parts
support for their products. Also weird for renaming stuff too often. :-)
If you can follow the bouncing name, which isn't hard, you can get parts. My early '70s Bogen 3236 became Manfrotto 475,
them 475B. A full range of parts for my ancient version is available.
