Quite the tale--perhaps you can post a couple images demonstrating the
Carmagne 630. The twist leg locks of my Papa Bear Gitzo are a bit of a pain,
but love the ability to cantilever the center column.
The Baby Bear sirui T-025x has its advantages and one can remove the center
column to go lower. The smallest leg section really is not adequate most of
the time due to flexing. It is very very portable and mostly does the job
especially when weighted.
Casually on the look out for a Mama Bear 'pod that does the 180 deg trick for
portability yet has a center column capable of cantilevering for macro--never
have seen one and may be an engineering issue.
Never have it just right with 'pods and bags , Mike
