Moose, Your light table has a lot going for it. No noticeable hot
spots. Is it a small lightbox/slide sorting table? If so could you kindly provide more info on it (cost and where
from) I ca see it being very worthwhile.
Well, that's interesting, It's a Logan Electric 4 x 5" Slim Edge Light Pad #A-7A
<https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/179861-REG/Logan_Electric_750219_4_x_5_Slim.html>
When I bought it in 2003, it was $40 from B&H. And there were identical appearing ones under several names all over the
place. Now the Logan costs more and seems to be the only brand. I bought the Logan for a bit more than the cheapest to
assure even lighting and accurate color.
[Sound of light going on] The current one comes with AC adapter. Mine didn't, but I run it off the general purpose DC
power supply under my desk.
I've used it for a lot of things over the years and it's never disappointed.
I do see some 8x9" ish ones on the 'Bay that look even in the pix and claim known WB, such as

As regards the 20mm f3.5 macro lens it came a Loooooong time ago
It isn't supposed to be as good as the 20/2.0, not least from diffraction, but should be fun. The lack of auto diaphragm
wouldn't mean anything in my use.
. . .
Also forgot my 50mm 3.5 macro / copy lens.
Fabulous at/near 1:2. Still darn good @ 1:1, but not fabulous.
