I sorely miss the cable release feature of film cameras. I got

Although it worked okay it was a bit bulky to carry round,
Unnecessary for the E-510 and forward all the way through the E-M1 mk I. All have the Oly Multi-connector and work with
wired releases like the expensive RM-UC1 and inexpensive copies like this.

The E-M1 II has gone to a standard USB-C connector for computer, etc. connection and a 2.5 mm, 3 connection remote
release. With any luck just like the ones many others use. Posts on the web say Canon ones for the Rebels, etc. and
generics work fine.
