Less than three hours ago the was a major M7.5 earthquake in the eastern
half of Papua/New Guinea. It was in a remote area near a dormant volcano known
as Doma Peaks. There have been numerous moderate events exceeding M5.0 since
then, about 20-30 minutes apart. There is no news of this on the BBC or ABC
(Australian), but it's still in the very early morning down there.
Anyone heard any news about this?
