So, if I see a list of “Johns’ photos,” it is a list of photos DEDICATED to two
or more Johns, rather than having been *taken by* two or more Johns? :-)
Sorry, not buying it.
WikiPedia says a “possessive” refers to “a relationship of possession in a
broad sense,” but I think “dedicated” is a bit too broad an interpretation of
“possession.” You could dedicate a song to me, but that doesn’t mean I have an
ownership interest, and am entitled to royalties.
