(I’m forwarding this to an Olympus enthusiasts’ forum, to see if they have any
suggestions for getting through your website issues.)
Five months later, and your form

is STILL BROKEN!
It kept telling me “ One of the fields contains a restricted character. Please
try again. “ It would have been nice if the field and the character were
identified. Anyway, since all the simple fields looked okay, I slowly clipped
possible problem characters out of the main field, until I only had one
paragraph left. Then I got the same “500 - Internal server error” that I noted
to you OVER FIVE MONTHS AGO!
Assuming it won’t get fixed for at least another five months, can you please
forward the following to your engineering department as a feature request for
the OM-D line?
----------------
Although I have some OM-D Pro lenses, the combination of register distance and
industry-leading IBIS made these cameras a natural for adapting a wide range of
non-lens devices and legacy lenses, and even contemporary manufacturers are
making NEW manual-focus lenses for the OM-D line. This was a MAJOR point in
making this camera my choice.
I use focus peaking all the time, and love it. But it seems to turn off at the
slightest whim. I have all the energy-saving settings for minimum energy
consumption, but whenever the viewfinder goes dark, focus peaking is turned
off, and I have to turn it back on.
FEATURE REQUEST: I suggest a new global setting that would optionally make
focus peaking the default whenever a non-auto-focus-capable lens is detected,
surviving power-down and other events. Should be simple to do, and will endear
you to those of us who shoot primarily manual-focus-only devices. I use the
entire OM System macro line with an adapted bellows, as well as a microscope
adapter and telescope adapter.
SECOND RELATED REQUEST: There are not enough manual focus slots in the menu
system! I suggest that this list be made bottomless -- surely, the memory is
available -- and that it can be sorted by either focal length, max aperture,
alphabetical title, or most-used. This will be invaluable for manual-focus
fans, as will the resulting EXIF data in their images!
I look forward to seeing these enhancements in a future firmware update! Keep
up the great work! I've been an enthusiastic Olympus shooter since the 1970s!
