Yes, I am here, but everything is fine. The soldiers guarding the station did
their job. I passed through Gare Central earlier in the day on my way to a
photo exhibition and actually asked one of the soldiers where the metro
entrance was. He was friendly and told me the way. So their presence is useful
in more than one way…
This happened around 9 last night. About an hour later, when I was on my way
back to the hotel after having dinner with my cousin, the only sign that
something was amiss was that the metro trains were not stopping at Gare
Centrale. Otherwise, everything was normal.
