Well, there IS the spousal unit that has to be pleased too.
The Denver area (we really like the south side) fits our personalities
and presents employment opportunities for both of us. Otherwise, yeah,
I'd be fine with beachfront someplace warm.
Nothing saying we HAVE to locate to Denver, but for a larger city, it
is pretty nice.
