When you generate the final output (jpeg or tiff) from RAW with
Lightroom, there are lots of non manufacture default adjustment
included. For me an untouched output image is the JPEG embedded inside
the RAW or the JPEG directly from the camera when you shoot RAW+JPEG.

From Ask Tim Grey, a web expert on LR.

I believe you use Lightroom, the setting will affect the final image, I
wouldn't call it straight output. You may compare it with the DNG embedded
jpeg.

Thanks, C.H. Some of the street scenes I ran through Color Efex Detail
Extractor. I like the look it gives to street scenes. The photos of the
children are straight from the camera - but DNG, not jpeg.

I like "Sunday School Angels", the subject has beautiful tone and
sharpness. "Puppet Show, Refugee Camp" captured a happy moment, great
catch!
The background of both are having a little strong outline, looks like
large radius USM (clarity?) was used. I could be wrong, may be it is the
lens character, checking out the original camera JPEG will a hint.
"Nothing Else Matters" and "Guardian Angels" seem using too much shadow
recovery, a little unnatural.
