Charlotte, NC because of the population and airport requirement.
Charleston, SC, for less population.
Beaufort, SC, undiscovered Charleston.
Savannah, GA, less tourists than Charleston.
I like the south. These are my favorite places. Very reasonable cost of
living - very cheap compared to most of the USA.
Charleston tops most lists for many reasons including friendliest city in
the USA.
